What are you passionate about, and how do you use your voice/talent to make a difference?

First and foremost, I’m passionate about my family. Being a mom is the greatest privilege of my life, and my daughter reminds me every day that one of the most important legacies we leave is how we treat people. I’m also incredibly grateful for my fiancé and bonus kids, who have taught me that family isn’t just what you’re born into; it’s what you choose to build together with love, patience, and grace.

Outside of my family, I love gardening. It has taught me patience, resilience, and that the things worth growing require consistency and care.

Professionally, I’m a connector. I genuinely love learning about people and their businesses, understanding what they’re trying to accomplish, and figuring out where I can help. Sometimes that means solving a problem, and sometimes it’s simply connecting two people who need to know each other. I love being able to say, “I know someone who can help with that,” and then bringing those people together.

What is your vision for the future of Siouxland?

I want Siouxland to continue growing without losing the sense of community that makes it feel like home. I want young professionals to see opportunity here and choose to stay, entrepreneurs to feel supported enough to take a chance, and established businesses to continue investing in the next generation.

Siouxland has so much potential, and I believe our greatest strength will always be our people. I want us to keep championing one another, recognize the talent and opportunities already in our own backyard, and build a community people are proud to call home. Most importantly, I want to be part of growth that doesn’t just change Siouxland, but strengthens what already makes it special.

What are you doing to make that happen?

I stay involved. I give my time to organizations and causes I care about, support local businesses, and look for ways to bring people together. I genuinely enjoy getting to know the people in our community and learning about what they’re building, what they need, and where they want to go.

My career also lets me work closely with businesses throughout Siouxland and support their growth. I love that my professional life and my involvement in the community let me meet so many incredible people and keep building relationships throughout Siouxland.

For me, it really comes down to being present, staying connected, and caring about what happens here.

How can people help you make that happen?

Be willing to get involved and invest in the people around you. Support local businesses, volunteer for an organization you believe in, mentor someone who is just getting started, and make introductions when you see an opportunity to connect people.

Most importantly, don’t underestimate the impact of simply showing up for others. You don’t need a title or a huge platform to make a difference. Sometimes it’s sharing someone’s idea, recommending a local business, encouraging someone to take a chance, or opening a door they may not have been able to open on their own.

Siouxland becomes stronger when we recognize what we each have to offer and choose to use it to help our community grow.

“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” — Audrey Hepburn

That quote reflects how I try to live my life. Whether we’re growing a garden, raising a child, building a career, supporting a business, or serving our community, we’re planting seeds.

We may not always see the full impact of what we plant today, but choosing to nurture something means believing it can become something greater tomorrow.
