Aida Garcia Luna

What are you passionate about, and how do you use your voice/talent to make a difference?

I’m passionate about the well-being of my children and family; they are my biggest motivation and the heart behind everything I do. I strive to create a life for them that is full of love, stability, and opportunity. I’m also committed to growing as a person, both personally and professionally. I believe in pushing myself to learn, evolve, and become the best version of who I’m meant to be.

One way I live out this growth is by using my voice and talents to make a difference in my community. Whether it’s advocating for others, mentoring, educating, or simply being a source of encouragement, I aim to be someone who uplifts and empowers those around me. Helping others is more than a passion; it’s part of my purpose. I believe that when we use what we’ve been given to support others, then real change can happen.

What is your vision for the future of Siouxland?

My vision for the future of Siouxland is a strong, close-knit community where people truly look out for one another. I see a place where growth doesn’t just mean more buildings or businesses but deeper connections, more opportunities, and a culture of support. A place where lending a hand isn’t the exception, but the norm. I want Siouxland to continue evolving into a community where everyone feels safe, seen, and valued, regardless of background. Somewhere, people not only live but enjoy living. A home where families can thrive, individuals can grow, and neighbors genuinely care for each other. I believe that kind of community is built one act of kindness at a time, and I’m committed to being a part of that vision.

What are you doing to make that happen?

I’m committed to being part of that vision by continuing to educate myself in every aspect possible, both personally and professionally, and culturally. Growth starts with learning, and I make it a priority to share what I know with anyone who allows me to do so. Whether it’s through conversation, mentorship, or simply showing up for others, I believe that knowledge, compassion, and action are the keys to building the kind of community we all want to live in.

How can people help you make that happen?

People can help bring this vision to life by simply showing up for one another, offering support, sharing knowledge, and treating others with kindness and respect. It starts with being open to learning, building real connections, and taking small actions that make others feel seen, safe, and valued. When we each do our part, together we create a strong, inclusive, and thriving community that Siouxland is meant to be.
