The nine-month program offered unique and enriching networking opportunities and training to enhance leadership skills, all within the context of learning about our community and ourselves, and how we can make a positive difference in our lives and the lives of others.  This year’s class partnered with the following mission-driven organizations to complete projects that support each agency’s specific mission: The Food Bank of Siouxland, YANA (You Are Not Alone), Haven House, Life Skills, Safe Place, and Boys & Girls Club of Hocak Nisoc Haci.   At the graduation celebration, each project team delivered a presentation about their project – what they did, the impact on the community, and what they learned.  It was amazing how the program helped each participant expand their leadership capabilities!

Recruitment is underway for the 2025-2026 class.  If you are looking for a cost-effective way to enhance your skills, learn about your strengths and how to utilize them appropriately, gain a network of professionals you can collaborate with, learn more about our community – what it offers and what is needed, and hear from community leaders, this program is for you!  To apply, email exdir@leadershipsiouxland.org or go to www.leadershipsiouxland.org and click “register”.  Applications are accepted through August 31, but spaces fill up fast.  The program begins with Orientation in September, followed by monthly classes from October through May, typically held on the first Thursday evening of each month.

Peggy Smith served as the Executive Director of Leadership Siouxland from 2018 until her retirement in June of 2025. The 2024-2025 class of graduates represents the final class graduating under her leadership. She is excited to see where their leadership journeys take them!
