What Challenges have you experienced in Siouxland?
Siouxland has been nothing but welcoming. With the city being medium-sized, you can enjoy a sense of community while also maintaining privacy. There is such a wide range of diversity that it’s not hard to find a community where you would feel comfortable. Living in a small town can be tough sometimes—it can feel limiting, especially when you’re looking for new experiences or ways to stay active and engaged.
How has Siouxland been welcoming?
I want people to know that, regardless of how small the city may seem, numerous events and celebrations ensure you never feel bored or lonely. There are plenty of festivals that showcase appreciation for different cultures, and everyone is incredibly welcoming.
What do you want the people of Siouxland to know?
I want the people of Siouxland to know the story behind who I am today and how every job I’ve taken on has helped shape my character, my work ethic, and my passion for helping others. I’ve had the opportunity to lead and grow in many roles—starting as a manager at Younkers, then becoming a General Manager at Leeann Chin, and later stepping into a leadership role at Walmart. Each experience taught me something valuable about people, perseverance, and the importance of showing up and doing your best every day.
Today, I’m proud to be an insurance agent and financial services professional with GFI—Global Finance Impact. At GFI, I’m able to use all those skills and lessons from my past to make a real difference in people’s lives. We help families protect what matters most, plan for their future, and build financial stability. It’s not just about selling insurance—it’s about educating, empowering, and walking with people through some of their most important decisions. It means a lot to be part of something that truly impacts lives, and I’m grateful that Siouxland is where I get to do this work.

Siouxland ha sido sumamente acogedora. Al ser una ciudad de tamaño mediano, se puede disfrutar de un sentido de comunidad a la vez que se mantiene la privacidad.
