Steve DeVoe

What are you passionate about, and how do you use your voice/talent to make a difference?

I’m passionate about making a difference. It is something that drives how I show up every day, whether at work, at home, or in the community. For me, it comes down to three simple principles: be present, be consistent, and create a meaningful impact. Being present to me means showing up with intention, listening attentively, and engaging with people who are often overlooked. Consistency to me means staying committed well beyond the big moments and doing the quiet, necessary work that sustains progress over time. Lastly, impact to me is about creating positive change that lasts, building something better than what was there before, and doing it in a way that elevates others along the way.

What is your vision for the future of Siouxland?

My vision for Siouxland is that it continues to grow as a region renowned for its strong sense of community, access to high-quality healthcare, and increasing economic opportunities. It should remain a place where progress and connection go hand in hand, and where the next generation will want to stay, work, and make a difference.

What are you doing to make that happen?

During the past four years, I have had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team at CNOS. Together, we’ve guided two successful practice mergers, expanded imaging capabilities, and launched new service lines that directly respond to the needs of our community. A simple but powerful goal has driven each of these initiatives- to keep high-quality care accessible and local. Outside of work, I serve on the Briar Cliff University Board, where I help influence the next generation of community leaders. For me, community involvement isn’t an extra; it’s essential.

How can people help you make that happen?

We all have a role to play. Patients, families, educators, business leaders, and everyone in Siouxland can help shape the future of local healthcare. It starts by choosing local care when it’s available, and not hesitating to speak up when something gets in the way. Feedback from the community helps us identify gaps, address inefficiencies, and develop a system that works better for everyone. Advocacy, participation, and even simple conversations can make a significant impact. The more we listen, collaborate, and take ownership of Siouxland’s future, the stronger and healthier our region becomes.
